Lea Michele: Celebrity of the Week

Hi everyone!

The celebrity of the week is Lea Michele. You may know her as Rachel Berry - the high-strung beauty with a voice like an angel, from the hit FOX show, Glee - but Lea Michele has been performing since she was eight years old. She played the young Cosette in the Broadway production of Les Miserables and has done a musical adaptation to the play, Spring Awakening.

Lea Michele has been through a lot in the past year. Unfortunately, Lea’s co-star and fiance Cory Montieth passed away during the summer of 2013 and two weeks before their wedding. I was at the Teen Choice Awards when Lea made her first appearance since his passing, and her speech moved me to tears. There couldn’t have been a dry eye in the room. In fact, the couple got engaged at the Teen Choice Awards just one year prior.

Lea is an inspiration (both in the fashion world and otherwise!) and so incredibly strong. I definitely look up to Lea for her strength and poise in a heartbreaking situation. Lea’s style is very girl-next-door, without being afraid to show some skin. Cheers to Lea Michele!
