VMAs Red Carpet

Hi everyone,

MTV's Video Music Awards are always an exciting time.  The performances, the winners, and the red carpet fashion are always something to look forward to.  This year there was a lot of black on the red carpet and a lot of white, there were a few pops of color though.  Here are some of my favorite looks of the night!

Ke$ha (left) looks stunning and statuesque in her Johanna Johnson gown.  It looks amazing on her.  It's very classy and chic.  Her rainbow pasteled hair is also an excellent touch!  Holland Roden from Teen Wolf (right) looks absolutely adorable in her Milly dress.  I love the cut outs, they show a little skin while the dress has a modest length and neckline.  

Demi Lovato was one of the only ladies to have a pop of color last night!  She looks positively radiant in her Lanvin gown.  The scarlet color of the gown and scarlet accessories didn't give off a "matchy-matchy" vibe, but a cohesion between everything to bring the look together.  The tie on the side, deep v neckline, and high slit made the gown even saucier, but she still looks classy!

Miley Cyrus (left) in her Alexandre Vauthier Couture couldn't make me any happier.  She looks polished and poised.  The lack of accessories and natural make up complete the casual-chic look.  And in case you missed it: last night Miley won Video of the Year with her song Wrecking Ball.  Instead of going on stage to accept the award herself she sent her friend Jesse.  Jesse is one of the many homeless youth of Los Angeles.  He spoke about his own story and how we can help the homeless through Miley's program My Friend's Place.  I applaud her for taking the time to use the power of the VMAs to shed light on such an awful situation.  Thank you Miley for making a change.

Singer, Becky G (left) looks glamorous in her bralette and sheer-studded maxi skirt.  While this ensemble shows a lot of skin she still looks classy and is covered where it matters!  I love the edginess of the outfit, she looks great.  Let's just talk about how amazing and dapper Sam Smith looks in his three piece suit.  With the voice of an angel and style of a saint, Sam Smith is the definition of a heart throb!  

The band 5 Seconds of Summer looked incredibly handsome and looked like absolute rock stars last night!  (From left to right) Ashton Irwin with his blazer, black shirt and jeans looks classic, but that signature black bandanna makes him look even better!  Calum Hood with his black jean vest, white tee shirt, and black jeans looks very 90's grunge and I love it.  Luke Hemmings looks polished in his black jeans, white button down, and black leather jacket.  He looks adorable!  And Michael Clifford, he looks like he's straight out of 90's rock music video!  The black jeans, black muscle tee, and red and black checkered-leather vest look extremely hardcore and really cool!  And congrats to 5SOS on winning their first VMA for best lyric video!
